Collective Kitchens and Sewing Club!
Participate in these programs offered by Families Living Well Society:
Days: Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
Time: 5:30pm to 8:00pm
Single parents are provided opportunities to; gain cooking skills, create nutritious meals and plan meals on a limited budget. The collective kitchen offers parents a chance to work together and prepare low cost meals for their family. Parents are provided opportunities to gain cooking skills, and learn nutritious menu planning. Parents pay a small amount per mouth and work together with other parents to prepare meals for their family.
Anyone over the age of 10 can learn to sew on a sewing machine. Participants are taught the basics of sewing. Small sewing projects are given as starters, which become more difficult as the class continues. A nominal fee for supplies is requested.
